Elstree & Borehamwood is the fastest growing Jewish community in the UK. The town is well served by a number of kosher shops, cafes and restaurants.
Borehamwood is a busy and vibrant town, offering great shops and excellent public amenities, including a large modern leisure centre, library, cinema and a 24 hours Tesco superstore. It’s well served by some excellent Jewish primary schools, and is also home to Yavneh College, with Hertsmere Jewish Primary being only a short distance away in Radlett.
Catering for the growing number of children and young families there are two excellent Jewish nurseries, along with many other registered child minder groups catering for the community and beyond.
There is also an Eruv, supervised by the Ebor Eruv Charitable Trust, a cross-community organisation set-up to operate the Eruv in Elstree and Borehamwood and it is supervised by the London Beth Din.
