Bar and Bat Mitzvahs

Mazeltov! We can’t wait to celebrate with you. We aim to give Ohr Yisrael members exclusive access to the Shul on their Bar / Bat Mitzvah.  This means there will not be another Bar / Bat Mitzvah taking place in the Shul at the same time.  

In the lead up to your Simcha, we will arrange for your child (and yourself) to meet other members at a similar life stage to yourselves. The Rabbi and Rebbetzin will meet with each Bar / Bat Mitzvah beforehand to help them prepare for the day. Please get in touch so that we can confirm potential dates and start planning!

Weddings, Kallah classes and other Simchas

Mazeltov! Please get in touch to let us know – we’re just as excited as you are. We have a wealth of experience planning Simchas and would be more than happy to chat through and help you plan. 

Rabbi Solomon can officiate and, with Rebbetzin Carri, can also offer pre-wedding classes too.

At Ohr Yisrael, we are also happy to help organise any Simcha.

Bereavements

If you need urgent assistance, please contact the Rabbi or a member of the Executive Board. As soon as you let us know, we will be there for you – providing both physical and pastoral care. 

If you are saying Kaddish, we have a regular minyan you can join.  We will help you if you are not comfortable saying Kaddish.
